Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Volume UGC LLC("VolumeUGC", "we", "us"), which operates the VolumeUGC platform (the "Service"), collects and handles information. By using the Service you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information. Our authentication provider (Clerk) processes your name, email, and sign-in data when you create an account.
- Content you upload. The photos, videos, and other source material you upload to create your videos, stored via Vercel Blob.
- Generated content. The videos and assets the Service produces from your inputs.
- Payment information. Subscriptions and billing are handled by Stripe. Stripe processes your card details directly; we do not store full card numbers, only limited billing metadata (such as plan, status, and the last four digits) needed to manage your subscription.
- Connected social accounts. If you choose to connect a TikTok account, TikTok gives us an access token and a refresh token for that account. We store them encrypted and never share them. We also store the profile details TikTok returns (display name, username, avatar, and whether the account is verified) so we can label the connection in the app.
- Social account performance data.For a connected TikTok account we read and store public performance figures: follower, following, likes and video counts, and per-post view, like, comment and share counts, along with each post's title, description, cover image, link, duration, and publish date. We record these once a day so we can show you how an account is performing over time. TikTok reports lifetime totals only, so the daily and weekly figures in the app are calculated by us from those snapshots.
- Usage and technical data. Standard server and log data (browser type, timestamps, requests) used to operate and secure the Service.
- Cookies. A session cookie to keep you signed in, plus any analytics described below. We do not sell your data.
How we use information
To provide the Service: process your uploads through our video engine to generate outputs, manage your account and subscription, provide support, and operate, secure, and improve the Service. We do not sell personal information.
Your content and how it is processed
Content you upload is stored and processed solely to provide the Service to you, including by our video-processing engine, which generates your output videos. You retain ownership of your content (see our Terms of Service). We do not use your uploaded content to train models for third parties.
Connecting a TikTok account
Connecting TikTok is optional and nothing happens until you authorize it yourself through TikTok's own consent screen. We request only the permissions the Service actually uses:
- Basic profile and profile details so we can show which TikTok account a connection belongs to.
- Account statistics so we can show follower and engagement figures for that account.
- Video list so we can show how the account's posts are performing.
- Video upload so we can send a video you have made to that account's TikTok inbox as a draft.
We never publish to TikTok on your behalf. Videos are sent to your TikTok inbox as drafts, and you decide in the TikTok app whether to add sound, captions or a cover, and whether to post at all. We do not request permission to post directly, and we cannot read your TikTok messages, followers' details, or any private data.
If your account belongs to an agency workspace on the Service, the members of that workspace can see the connected account's performance figures. They cannot see your TikTok password or your tokens.
You can disconnect at any time from the Service, which revokes our stored tokens, or from TikTok Settings → Security & permissions → Manage app permissions. Once disconnected we stop collecting new data for that account. To have the performance history we already stored deleted as well, contact us and we will remove it.
Who we share information with
Service providers that help us run the Service, each processing data only to provide their service:
- Clerk: authentication and account management
- Stripe: payment processing and subscription billing
- Vercel: web hosting and file storage (Vercel Blob)
- Neon: database hosting
- Our video-processing engine: renders your uploads into output videos
- TikTok: only if you connect a TikTok account, and only to send a video you chose to that account's inbox as a draft and to read that account's own performance figures back. We do not send TikTok your personal information, and we do not share your TikTok data with anyone else.
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of the Service or others.
Data retention
We retain your account, uploaded content, and generated videos while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can request deletion of your content or account; we will delete it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records (for example, billing) as required by law.
Access and refresh tokens for a connected TikTok account are deleted when you disconnect it or when TikTok expires them. Performance snapshots for that account are kept while the connection is active so the history stays continuous, and are deleted on request or when you delete your account.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell it). We honor these requests as required by applicable law.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your content and account safe.
International users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
Children
VolumeUGC is a business tool intended for users 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy; we will revise the date above when we do.
